“I’m a single mom of three children. I speak Spanish and French and enjoy learning about other cultures and visiting other countries. I currently teach Spanish at a local junior high school. I have been very impressed with the work that Carmel does with this organization and have decided to support her any way I can. I believe the work of this organization helps a lot of people.”
“Living in an impoverished country has taught me to be kind to those without proper education, health, welfare, maintenance, and unconditional protection to others. I believe with a passion that I am my brother’s keeper. I feel it is my calling to help those in need, especially women and children. I am very passionate about what I do because I was a single mom for many years and I learned it was a daily struggle. The peace that I have in my heart is priceless, I do not ever want to live without that PEACE. I inherited the name Clermont from my ancestors. I put it on a pedestal, so I decided to share it with the world. Care is because of the attachment I continuously feel after I left my home country knowing no matter where you are in the world your umbilical cord is buried somewhere. Center the balance of where my story began and where I am as a Haitian American.”
At Clermont Care Center, we get into the middle of the circle to prevent, intervene, and recover regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, religion, and social background.
